What is a clutch?

That's a really good question, and the definition probably depends on who you ask.
To me, a leather clutch is a mix of a shoulder bag and a purse. It is often larger than a purse, and smaller or the same size as a crossover bag - but without the long strap that typically runs across the body.

The function of the clutch

Typically, a clutch is used as a small handbag, where e.g. is space for mobile and wallet. A clutch is smart, as it often does not have the same size as a bag, but can still gather the necessities if you do not have pockets.

A leather clutch for all events

The clutch is an item that can be used for festive events, but the bag can also be used in everyday life. For parties, an elegant clutch can accommodate all necessities such as mobile, money, purse, etc. and at the same time spice up your outfit or create an extra, unique touch to your outfit.
In everyday life, the clutch can be used in many different ways. In addition to using it as a bag, it can also be used as a kind of "pocket" in a larger bag. For example, if you have a large shopper where your necessities are loose, you can collect the smaller items in a clutch so that these can be easily fished up - this way the clutch works like a pocket with a zipper.
A clutch can also be used as a make-up purse or a regular extra spacious purse.

The perfect clutch

When choosing your leather clutch, purse or shoulder bag, it is first and foremost important to decide for yourself what it will be used for. Do you like to have your hands free, or should there be a small strap? Do you want a more spacious bag or do you only need little things like your credit cards and mobile?
Then you can assess whether it is a clutch you should actually invest in, or whether you should instead look in the direction of shoulder bags, shoppers, purses or crossover bags.
At MicMic, I have several different styles, sizes and colors. Many of my crossover bags have detachable straps and can therefore also be used as larger clutches. You can find them right here.
There are also smaller clutches completely without straps above. There are zippers in all clutches so your things do not get lost or fall.

Leather clutch in the highest quality

All styles at MicMic are sewn in high quality leather, and of course this also applies to the leather clutches you see above.
I have chosen to work exclusively with leather, as it is a sustainable material that lasts for many years. In fact, leather products only get nicer with time when the patina starts to show - it also gives your MicMic item its very own story and makes it extra unique.

The styles you see above are sewn in different countries.
Some are sewn in India by the oldest of my current partners - in fact, I have been working with this facility for about four years (out of MicMic's lifetime of five years). Most employees are from the local area, while some of the more experienced forces have been brought in further away and have an education in the field. In this way, they can train and show the way for the other employees. The workplace is certified, which means that there is a regular review of the conditions in the workplace.
Others are sewn in Ethiopia in socially responsible workshops, e.g. supports with school uniforms and materials for the most vulnerable girls in the owner's hometown or employs vulnerable women. You can read much more about my projects in Ethiopia right here.
At MicMic, I want to make sure you can use your new clutch leather, purse or shoulder bag with a clear conscience.
